A milestone for Dachser
2021 was a strong year for the Dachser group in financial terms as well. Consolidated revenues rose by 26% to EUR 7.1 billion, surpassing this threshold for the first time. Shipments and tonnage grew by 6.3%, or even 7.7% at group level.
Road logistics, Dachser's core business field, which comprises the transport and warehousing of industrial and consumer goods (European logistics) and food (food logistics), increased its revenue by 12.3% compared to 2020, reaching EUR 4.99 billion in 2021.
Revenue in the air & sea logistics segment rose by 78.3%. Shipments handled rose by 9.1% and tonnage jumped by 20.9%. 230 air freight charters served a network of regular transports between Asia, Europe and North America. After investing around EUR 100 million in 2021, the company plans to spend some EUR 200 million in 2022. (sh)
