A leap forward for Clipper Logistics
UK-based Clipper Logistics has reported the results for its financial year ending 30 April 2021. Group revenues showed an increase of 39.1% from GBP 500.7 million to GBP 696.2 million and group profit after tax reached GBP 21.7 million (2020: GBP 16.2 million), thus up 33.8%.
The group's revenue growth in the current year was largely attributable to e fulfilment and return logistics which increased by 52.0% to GBP 420.9 million. Revenue from the commercial vehicles segment, on the other hand, was GBP 83.6 million, moving sidewards from 2020.
In the important e-commerce segment, Clipper was able to win new contracts from shippers like Linenbundle, Revolution Beauty and Unipart in the course of the year. (sh)
