A farewell to Albert K.O. Schunk
Schunk Group, family-owned insurance broker for the Germany logistics industry, has announced that Albert K.O. Schunk, long-standing managing partner of the company, died unexpectedly on the morning of 31 May 2021, at the age of 60. He had held various positions within the company for more than 35 years.
Klaus Rückel, managing director: “His pronounced IT and digital competence as well as his clever business decisions have put the Schunk Group back on the road to success in recent years.”
Peter Kollatz, managing director: “Albert Schunk was a businessman out of deep conviction and was always there for his employees.” Most recently, the group gained a new majority shareholder in the Ecclesia Group, a German insurance broker, on 1 January 2021.
Thomas Wicke, managing director: “Under the joint umbrella of the Ecclesia Group, we will keep his memory well beyond the year 2021 and thus successfully continue our company's more than 100-year history.” (amh)
