A cold takeover
The French group Clareton has acquired Christian Gaillard’s cool chain business. The unit comprises cold warehouses covering a surface of 7,000 sqm (frozen, fresh and ambient storage). The staff and 25,000 sqm of land are also part of the deal.
Clareton, which recently built its own surface of 1,200 sqm in Béziers, now plans to develop its cool chain logistics segment, which currently represents 5% of its annual turnover of EUR 13 million. Clareton already took over the carrier Somatir located near Orléans in 2018. (sh)
