A brewing base in western France
ID Logistics has opened a site in Neuillé-Pont-Pierre for AB Inbev France, a beer manufacturer. Off the back of a 15 year-partnership, the two companies are now looking to optimise AB InBev’s operations in western France. While the Neuillé-Pont-Pierre site is already operational, a second new hub is set to come on stream in Cambrai in November this year.
Using technology to enhance efficiency, ID Logistics is implementing an automated barcode scanning system, beacon technology, automated docking and a collision prevention system.
The new site has been Breeam certified with photovoltaic panels, LED lighting, and rainwater recovery to reduce carbon emissions. A yard management software will be deployed to optimise truck operations. (mk)
