60 new tractor units to modernise fleet
UK-based Owens Group is to replace 90% of the trucks operating out of its Carrington site in Greater Manchester with 60 Volvo FH 460 Globetrotter tractor units. The new vehicles will be delivered in three batches over the next nine months.
The new fleet comes with three comprehensive option packs adding an array of features including full electronic air conditioning, cab parking heater, dimmable interior lighting, and a 33 litre under-bunk fridge-freezer.
The vehicles will join Wales’ largest independent family-owned logistics and warehousing company, with a fleet of 500 vehicles and 850 trailers. They will be used for general haulage in UK. (ben)
