36,000 e-powered commercial vehicles
The registration of e-powered commercial vehicles in Switzerland has declined again, after many years of growth.
12% fewer e-vehicles for commercial transport were registered in 2023, according to the country’s statistical office. A total of 35,921 e-powered commercial vehicles were registered in 2024. This means that slightly more commercial vehicles were registered, which can’t be said for cars.
In 2024, the number of lorries registered overall increased by 15.3%, that of vans by 1.3%, while the registration of all articulated lorries declined by 0.6%. (ben)
