2,000 t of CO2e saved
Nestlé has entered into a partnership with the road freight forwarder Sennder, to decarbonise its logistics network.
Over the past three years, this collaboration has cut more than 2,000 t of CO2e, by completing more than 3,000 green loads, using HVO100 and electric trucks.
The partners reached a significant milestone by introducing e-trucks. In just four months, Sennder has delivered more than 100 orders and run more than 10,000 km with electric trucks for Nestlé in North Rhine-Westphalia (Germany). This measure alone reduced CO2e emissions by 55 t annually in a single trade lane.
Nestlé aims to reach its net-zero emissions goal by 2050. (ben)
