100 trucks to modernise UK fleet
Montgomery Transport in UK has placed an order for 100 Mercedes-Benz Actros with Mercedes-Benz dealer Intercounty Truck and Van. Both companies are part of Ballyvesey Holdings.
Montgomery Transport provides a range of just-in-time services to a broad cross-section of customers working in the FMCG, retail and wholesale, manufacturing and construction sectors. Its new Actros 2545 tractor units employ 12.8-litre in-line six-cylinder engines that produce 330 kW.
Montgomery’s new 18 t vehicles are replacing trucks from rival brands. They are equipped with mirror cam, multimedia cockpit and the active brake assist 5 emergency braking system, with improved pedestrian recognition capability. (ben)
