Gateway Basel Nord: Martin Haller steps down
After nine years as a member of the board of directors and overall project manager of Gateway Basel Nord, Martin Haller (centre) will step down on 31 December 2024 but remain with the company as senior advisor for specific topics.
Firat Günes (right), head of sales at SBB Cargo, will take over as a member of the board of directors from January 2025, while Raven Schäfer (left), who has been responsible for financing, process management and planning at Gateway Basel Nord since the start of the project, will take over operational management at the same time.
“Haller’s tireless commitment and forward-looking leadership have had a decisive influence on Gateway Basel Nord. We very much regret his departure but are delighted with the numerous successes we have achieved together. We are very pleased that he will remain associated with our company as senior advisor for specific topics and wish him all the best for his future career,” says Renzo Capanni, chairman of the board of directors of Gateway Basel Nord.
