Changing of the guard at VDR
Effective 30 April 2022, former senator Ralf Nagel will step down after twelve years as chief executive officer and executive member of the presidential committee of the shipowners’ Association (VDR).
“We are delighted to have been able to win Martin Kröger, a shipping and association expert with excellent connections and a proven track record in the European and international shipping industry, as Nagel's successor and future CEO,” the association’s president Gaby Bornheim said.
Kröger has been working as managing director for the VDR for ten years. In this capacity, he has played a key role in formulating European and international shipping policy, improving Germany’s position as a shipping hub and promoting environmental and climate protection. (cj)
