Changes at ÖBB


ÖBB has announced major changes in its staff, in which the supervisory bodies have opted for continuity. At the recent supervisory board meeting of ÖBB-Holding, Andreas Matthä, CEO of ÖBB since 2016, was confirmed in his position until 2026.

 

As reported, Manuela Waldner will succeed Arnold Schiefer as CFO from 1 July 2023. Waldner, most recently a partner and managing director at Boston Consulting Group, was appointed for five years until 2028.

 

At ÖBB-Infrastruktur, Johann Pluy, the board member responsible for operations, market and digitalisation since 2019, was reappointed for a further five years until 2028.

 

Heinz Freunschlag was also reappointed to the board of management of ÖBB-Personenverkehr. He has overseen controlling & reporting, legal affairs, purchasing & board secretariat, human resources, IT & digitalisation in the company since 2019. (cj)
