Con esta nueva infraestructura, la naviera podr\u00e1 suministrar electricidad a sus ferris en ambos lados del estrecho de Fehmarn, seg\u00fan informa. En total, se han tendido 11 kil\u00f3metros de cables el\u00e9ctricos desde la subestaci\u00f3n en Burg hasta el puerto de ferris para garantizar la capacidad de conexi\u00f3n necesaria de 15 MW.<\/p>\n<p>La instalaci\u00f3n de la torre de carga ya se ha completado y ha sido puesta en funcionamiento. De este modo, Puttgarden est\u00e1, seg\u00fan Scandlines, listo para suministrar electricidad a los ferris de la empresa. Desde marzo, una conexi\u00f3n similar est\u00e1 en funcionamiento en el puerto de R\u00f8dby. Esta se introdujo junto con la puesta en servicio del ferry de carga &#8222;The Baltic Whale&#8220; en la ruta Puttgarden-R\u00f8dby.<\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan Scandlines, &#8222;The Baltic Whale&#8220; se encuentra entre los mayores ferris del mundo que pueden operar exclusivamente con electricidad de tierra. Gracias a la posibilidad de cargar el ferry tanto en R\u00f8dby como en Puttgarden, el tiempo de carga en cada puerto se puede reducir a 12 a 15 minutos.
