Con solo 16 incidentes reportados en todo el mundo, esta es la cifra m\u00e1s baja para el primer trimestre desde 1991. Este desarrollo se considera el resultado de una cooperaci\u00f3n sostenible y medidas de aplicaci\u00f3n, sin embargo, la seguridad de las tripulaciones sigue siendo una preocupaci\u00f3n central.<\/p>\n<h3>Disminuci\u00f3n de incidentes y riesgos persistentes<\/h3>\n<p>Durante el per\u00edodo de enero a marzo de 2026, se registraron 16 incidentes, en comparaci\u00f3n con 45 en el primer trimestre de 2025 y 33 en el mismo per\u00edodo de 2024. En dos incidentes separados, un miembro de la tripulaci\u00f3n fue secuestrado y otro result\u00f3 herido. Todos los barcos afectados, incluidos dos graneleros de m\u00e1s de 150,000 DWT, fueron abordados con \u00e9xito.<\/p>\n<p>En contraste, hubo cuatro incidentes en Filipinas, lo que representa un aumento en comparaci\u00f3n con cero incidentes en el mismo per\u00edodo de 2025. Dos incidentes ocurrieron en la zona de anclaje de Manila y dos en la zona de anclaje de Bauan en la bah\u00eda de Batangas, donde un miembro de la tripulaci\u00f3n fue secuestrado. El IMB pide una estrecha colaboraci\u00f3n entre las autoridades regionales y la industria mar\u00edtima para mejorar la seguridad de las tripulaciones en estas aguas.<\/p>\n<p>En el \u00e1mbito de la pirater\u00eda somal\u00ed, se reportaron dos incidentes: un ataque y un secuestro exitoso.<\/p>\n<h3>Vigilancia en el Golfo de Guinea y la importancia de los informes<\/h3>\n<p>En el Golfo de Guinea, se report\u00f3 un robo en la zona de anclaje de Takoradi en Ghana, lo que representa un alivio bienvenido. A pesar de la disminuci\u00f3n de incidentes, el IMB enfatiza la necesidad de una vigilancia continua y cooperaci\u00f3n sostenible para garantizar la seguridad de los marineros y la protecci\u00f3n del comercio en estas aguas.<\/p>\n<p>El IMB destaca nuevamente la importancia de los informes oportunos al Centro de Reporte de Pirater\u00eda del IMB (PRC).
