El barco fue construido por la Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Company Limited (SWS) y la China Shipbuilding Trading Company Limited (CSTC), ambas pertenecientes a la China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited (CSSC). Con el &#8222;Grande Seoul&#8220;, la naviera italiana ampl\u00eda su flota con el noveno barco preparado para el uso futuro de amon\u00edaco como combustible alternativo y libre de emisiones.<\/p>\n<p>El &#8222;Grande Seoul&#8220; tiene una longitud de 200 m, un ancho de 38 m y un peso bruto de aproximadamente 77.500 t. El barco est\u00e1 dise\u00f1ado para el transporte de veh\u00edculos, incluidos autom\u00f3viles el\u00e9ctricos y veh\u00edculos con motores convencionales, as\u00ed como otros bienes rodantes. Puede transportar hasta 9.241 Car Equivalent Units (CEU) y cuenta con cuatro cubiertas que tambi\u00e9n pueden acomodar cargas pesadas de hasta 250 t y alturas de hasta 6,5 m.<\/p>\n<p>Al igual que sus buques gemelos, incluidos el &#8222;Grande Tianjin&#8220; y el &#8222;Grande Auckland&#8220;, el &#8222;Grande Seoul&#8220; se destaca no solo por su alta capacidad de transporte, sino tambi\u00e9n por su avanzada eficiencia ambiental. El \u00edndice de emisiones de CO\u2082 por unidad transportada se ha reducido en comparaci\u00f3n con la generaci\u00f3n anterior de barcos PCTC en hasta un 50%.<\/p>\n<p>El barco est\u00e1 equipado con un motor electr\u00f3nico moderno que presenta uno de los consumos de combustible espec\u00edficos m\u00e1s bajos en su clase y cumple con los m\u00e1s estrictos l\u00edmites internacionales de emisiones de CO\u2082, NOx y SOx. Adem\u00e1s, el &#8222;Grande Seoul&#8220; recibi\u00f3 la clasificaci\u00f3n &#8222;Ammonia Ready&#8220; del registro naval italiano RINA, lo que significa que es posible una conversi\u00f3n a amon\u00edaco como combustible libre de emisiones en el futuro.
