Los dos barcos ser\u00e1n construidos en el astillero China Merchants Jinling en Nanjing y se espera que aumenten la capacidad y la flexibilidad en el transporte de corta distancia en Europa. Con este pedido, el n\u00famero total de barcos en construcci\u00f3n asciende a cuatro.<\/p>\n<h3>Avances tecnol\u00f3gicos y aspectos medioambientales<\/h3>\n<p>Los nuevos PCTCs estar\u00e1n equipados con una capacidad de 3000 CEU cada uno y se espera que cuenten con modernos sistemas de propulsi\u00f3n h\u00edbridos de m\u00faltiples combustibles. Esta tecnolog\u00eda tiene como objetivo optimizar el consumo de combustible y reducir las emisiones. Seg\u00fan Glenn Edvardsen, CEO de UECC, los nuevos barcos representan un avance significativo en t\u00e9rminos de seguridad, eficiencia y rendimiento medioambiental. Adem\u00e1s, los barcos estar\u00e1n dise\u00f1ados sin lastre, lo que reduce a\u00fan m\u00e1s el consumo de combustible y cuentan con sistemas de monitoreo de emisiones en tiempo real.<\/p>\n<p>Los barcos contar\u00e1n con nueve cubiertas y ofrecer\u00e1n una rampa de popa con una capacidad de 160 t. Esto permitir\u00e1 el transporte de una variedad de veh\u00edculos, as\u00ed como cargas pesadas y grandes que normalmente est\u00e1n fuera del segmento t\u00edpico de PCTC. La entrega de los barcos est\u00e1 prevista para principios de 2028.<\/p>\n<h3>Enfoque en la seguridad y soluciones digitales<\/h3>\n<p>Una de las principales preocupaciones en el desarrollo de los nuevos barcos fue la seguridad. Edvardsen enfatiza que se ha implementado un robusto concepto de seguridad que mejora la lucha contra incendios e integra capacidades de monitoreo y respuesta ampliadas. Estas soluciones digitales est\u00e1n destinadas a mejorar el rendimiento y aumentar la transparencia a lo largo de toda la vida \u00fatil de los barcos.<\/p>\n<p>Con este nuevo pedido, UECC tendr\u00e1 un total de nueve PCTCs h\u00edbridos de combustible dual de LNG y de m\u00faltiples combustibles en su flota, que est\u00e1n en operaci\u00f3n desde 2016. Estos barcos tambi\u00e9n est\u00e1n dise\u00f1ados para incorporar futuras innovaciones tecnol\u00f3gicas y combustibles alternativos.<\/p>\n<h3>Compromiso con la sostenibilidad<\/h3>\n<p>UECC se ha comprometido a reducir el impacto ambiental participando en iniciativas como el programa &#8222;Sail for Change&#8220;.
