Estas gr\u00faas est\u00e1n dise\u00f1adas para los mayores buques portacontenedores del mundo y representan un paso importante en el marco del programa de modernizaci\u00f3n &#8222;Project Emerald&#8220;, seg\u00fan informa la empresa. Con esta inversi\u00f3n, el puerto de Antwerpen se prepara para las demandas del comercio global con grandes buques portacontenedores del futuro.<\/p>\n<p>Las nuevas gr\u00faas STS son las m\u00e1s grandes de su tipo jam\u00e1s encargadas para el puerto. Su instalaci\u00f3n permitir\u00e1 atender a buques portacontenedores ultragrandes. Las gr\u00faas alcanzan una altura de 52 m y tienen un alcance de 71,8 m, lo que, seg\u00fan PSA Antwerpen, permite manejar buques que pueden transportar hasta 26 contenedores de ancho.<\/p>\n<h3>Eficiencia operativa y fiabilidad<\/h3>\n<p>Con una capacidad de elevaci\u00f3n doble de hasta 112 t, se espera que las nuevas gr\u00faas aumenten la eficiencia operativa y la productividad de los muelles.
