En el marco de su mayor operaci\u00f3n con combustible de aviaci\u00f3n sostenible (SAF) en Am\u00e9rica Latina, las empresas han ahorrado aproximadamente 300 t de CO\u2082e. Esta medida afecta el transporte de m\u00e1s de 495 t de flores, lo que equivale a alrededor de 10 millones de tallos, de Bogot\u00e1 a Miami con motivo del D\u00eda de San Valent\u00edn, uno de los momentos m\u00e1s importantes para la industria floral.<\/p>\n<p>La iniciativa, que se lleva a cabo por tercer a\u00f1o consecutivo, utiliza el procedimiento de &#8222;Book and Claim&#8220; para SAF, con el fin de reducir las emisiones asociadas a la exportaci\u00f3n de flores colombianas. Seg\u00fan Kuehne+Nagel, el uso de m\u00e1s de 130.000 l de SAF cubre el consumo de combustible de ocho vuelos de carga B767 en esta ruta.<\/p>\n<h3>Cooperaci\u00f3n para soluciones sostenibles<\/h3>\n<p>Ana San Carlos, Gerente de Sostenibilidad para Am\u00e9rica Latina en Kuehne+Nagel, enfatiza la importancia de colaborar con socios para fomentar cambios positivos en la log\u00edstica a\u00e9rea y en la industria de productos perecederos. &#8222;Estamos orgullosos de nuestro compromiso continuo de expandir esta iniciativa a\u00f1o tras a\u00f1o e inspirar a m\u00e1s actores en Am\u00e9rica Latina y en todo el mundo para impulsar iniciativas de descarbonizaci\u00f3n en nuestras cadenas de suministro&#8220;, explica San Carlos.<\/p>\n<p>Cristina O\u00f1ate, VP de Sostenibilidad y Productos en LATAM Cargo, destaca que la reducci\u00f3n de emisiones en la industria de la aviaci\u00f3n requiere m\u00faltiples soluciones y, sobre todo, colaboraci\u00f3n. &#8222;Junto con nuestros clientes, hemos dado un paso m\u00e1s hacia una aviaci\u00f3n sostenible al aplicar los beneficios ambientales del combustible de aviaci\u00f3n sostenible en la cadena de suministro de flores. Esta iniciativa demuestra c\u00f3mo la reducci\u00f3n de emisiones mejora la velocidad y la fiabilidad del transporte a\u00e9reo, lo cual es crucial para productos frescos como las flores&#8220;, afirma O\u00f1ate.<\/p>\n<p>Alvaro Camacho, Gerente de Log\u00edstica en The Elite Flower, a\u00f1ade que durante la temporada del D\u00eda de San Valent\u00edn se exportan casi 40 millones de tallos a trav\u00e9s de LATAM Cargo. &#8222;Esto representa un desaf\u00edo operativo que abordamos con el objetivo de hacerlo de manera cada vez m\u00e1s responsable.
