Lo especial: el motor del RMS Ruhrort est\u00e1 preparado para utilizar metanol como combustible. El metanol, junto con el hidr\u00f3geno y el amon\u00edaco, se considera un combustible mar\u00edtimo del futuro que es respetuoso con el medio ambiente y el clima.<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>(Duisburgo) Hasta que eso ocurra, el RMS Ruhrort navega con un motor di\u00e9sel y ya est\u00e1 equipado seg\u00fan los \u00faltimos est\u00e1ndares t\u00e9cnicos para cumplir con las normas actuales y futuras de CO2.<\/p>\n<p>Rhenus adquiri\u00f3 el RMS Ruhrort como casco en bruto de un astillero rumano, donde el casco fue encargado por un armador noruego, pero no se complet\u00f3. Rhenus traslad\u00f3 el barco a un astillero turco, donde actualmente est\u00e1 siendo equipado por Handelskade Shipsales BV de Dordrecht como apoderado general. \u00abEl casco encaja perfectamente en el portafolio de nuestra flota actual. Tiene un tama\u00f1o que en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os casi no se ha construido para la navegaci\u00f3n costera europea. Los barcos de este tipo y tama\u00f1o suelen tener m\u00e1s de 20 a\u00f1os y est\u00e1n t\u00e9cnicamente desactualizados. Aunque no podemos cambiar nada en la estructura de acero, podemos centrarnos en el equipamiento con un sistema de propulsi\u00f3n de bajas emisiones y la \u00faltima tecnolog\u00eda digital en el puente, de modo que el RMS Ruhrort est\u00e9 bien preparado para el futuro\u00bb, dice Ralf Uebachs, director general de Rhenus Maritime Services.<\/p>\n<h5>Conversi\u00f3n sin mucho esfuerzo<\/h5>\n<p>La decisi\u00f3n se ha tomado por un motor di\u00e9sel Mitsubishi de ocho cilindros de bajas emisiones, que es \u00abapto para metanol\u00bb. \u00abSi la navegaci\u00f3n se decide por un combustible alternativo, el motor se puede convertir sin mucho esfuerzo en un &#8216;motor de metanol&#8217; casi neutro en carbono. Para ahorrar emisiones desde ahora, hemos reducido la potencia del motor di\u00e9sel del valor est\u00e1ndar de 1.350 kW a 1.100 kW. Es m\u00e1s que suficiente navegar a 10,5 en lugar de 12 nudos\u00bb, explica Menno van der Plas de Handelskade Shipsales BV.<\/p>\n<p>Para hacer que el RMS Ruhrort sea lo m\u00e1s respetuoso con el medio ambiente posible, se ha instalado una boquilla alrededor de la h\u00e9lice del barco y se ha utilizado una pintura para el revestimiento exterior que reduce la resistencia durante la navegaci\u00f3n. Adem\u00e1s, el barco tambi\u00e9n cumple con los requisitos m\u00e1s estrictos del \u00cdndice de Eficiencia Energ\u00e9tica del Dise\u00f1o (EEDI), un valor que refleja las emisiones espec\u00edficas de CO2 de los buques de carga.<\/p>\n<h5>Se prueba la navegabilidad<\/h5>\n<p>Despu\u00e9s de su finalizaci\u00f3n, el RMS Ruhrort podr\u00e1 ser utilizado para la navegaci\u00f3n mundial. La ventaja: gracias a su dise\u00f1o m\u00e1s compacto, es posible su uso en la navegaci\u00f3n de nicho, como en el Rin. Antes de que eso ocurra, a mediados de octubre se llevar\u00e1n a cabo las llamadas pruebas en el mar, donde se verificar\u00e1 exhaustivamente la navegabilidad del casco y se permitir\u00e1 al barco navegar.
