Con el llamado combustible HVO, la flota de locomotoras di\u00e9sel de DB Cargo puede ser operada sin ninguna restricci\u00f3n de rendimiento, como han demostrado amplias series de pruebas.<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>(Mainz) Con estos biocombustibles, se hacen posibles cadenas de suministro completamente clim\u00e1ticamente neutrales para los clientes de DB Cargo. Hoy en d\u00eda, cada tren de mercanc\u00edas ahorra a nuestro planeta alrededor del 80 al 100 por ciento de CO2 en comparaci\u00f3n con el transporte por carretera. DB Cargo, como la mayor compa\u00f1\u00eda ferroviaria de mercanc\u00edas en Europa, proporciona alrededor del 95 por ciento de su potencia de tracci\u00f3n de manera el\u00e9ctrica. El enfoque est\u00e1 en los biocombustibles, como el llamado aceite vegetal hidrogenado (HVO). Este combustible se produce a partir de residuos y desechos biol\u00f3gicos. Para su producci\u00f3n no se utilizan tierras de cultivo adicionales que compitan con productos alimenticios y forrajeros. El biocombustible tambi\u00e9n est\u00e1 libre de aceite de palma.
