This year’s 2026 Fiata World Congress carries a meaning that goes beyond any single event. We’re celebrating 100 years of Fiata – a century of freight forwarders coming together, building standards, forging partnerships and shaping the industry we are all part of today. That is something worth marking. Milan needs no introduction as a city shaped by trade, and it is a privilege to bring the Fiata community here for this milestone. We are grateful to Fedespedi for its dedication to hosting a congress that does justice to this milestone and to the vibrant logistics community.
Our industry is going through a period of real change. Geopolitical uncertainty is disrupting established trade routes, new technologies are transforming how freight is managed and tracked and sustainability is moving from a commitment on paper to an operational reality. Customers and regulators alike are raising the bar. The world congress will be a place to engage with these pressures directly, to hear different perspectives, and to come away with practical ideas and renewed energy.
Just as important will be the conversations that happen away from the main stage. Some of the most valuable connections in our industry are made at events like this one, and I have no doubt Milan will be no different.
