Taking the cold chain to Toledo

Logista Parcel recently opened a 5,700 sqm site at a local industrial estate in Toledo, Ohio as the next step in the company’s expansion of its temperature-controlled transport network in the USA.

The hub comprises chambers/refrigerated areas totalling 2,522 sqm and office spaces on 277 sqm. The chambers range from 15-25°C to -18°C and each chamber has a specific volume, the biggest measuring 6,238 cbm, with temperatures of 5-12°C.

The site also features a large warehouse area, berths, and a sorter capable of handling 2,000 packages per hour. A photovoltaic facility enables Logista to cover some of its energy needs with solar power. The Toledo site has been operational since 11 March 2024. (mk)
