Sennder's physical-digital expansion
Digital forwarder Sennder has acquired Dutch carrier Cars & Cargo, which operates in France and the Benelux countries. The price of the transaction was not disclosed. As part of the takeover, Cars & Cargo’s fleet of 240 trucks will be fed into Sennder’s system.
Shippers and carriers in Germany, France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg will receive access to more freight capacities and Cars & Cargo’s services. The fleet will be fully digitalised and integrated into Sennder’s technology, which includes digital fleet management, route optimisation and a direct onboarding process.
Initially, Cars & Cargo will operate under its existing brand, and Bob Snijder, founder and CEO, will continue to run the business as general manager. (sh)
