Seafrigo boosting Nordic operations
Seafrigo has reported that it has expanded its Nordic operations by opening a new 10,000 sqm warehouse in Katrineholm (Sweden).
The facility offers 30,000 pallet slots and can handle up to 100 t of blast-freezing a week. Certified to Miljöbyggnad ‘Silver’ environment standards, the site aims to support Seafrigo’s commitment “to providing premium specialist logistics solutions,” as the company stated.
The facility strengthens Seafrigo’s specialist food logistics services, particularly in protein handling, with direct deliveries from slaughterhouses and exports primarily to Asia and Africa. The move was designed to ensure the company’s overnight distribution network for 80% of the Nordic region. (js)
