Rail-served hub close to port and Mexico
US rail company Omnitrax is working with the Greater Brownsville Economic Development Corporation (GBEDC) in Texas to bring the rail-ready sites programme to the Brownsville & Rio Grande International Railway (BRG).
The short line railroad, which operates a 70 km long line at the Port of Brownsville and interchanges with Class 1 railroads Union Pacific, BNSF and Kansas City Southern Mexico, will focus on attracting advanced and heavy industries, including large scale manufacturing and port-related industries.
The Omnitrax rail-ready sites programme connects companies looking to maximise supply chain performance with rail-served properties. (ben)
