Quicker Med-Sea connection
CMA CGM’s short sea lines division has restructured its TMX 2 link between Turkey, Malta, Italy, France, and Algeria.
The French carrier started the revamped service from Gemlik to Salerno on 12 January 2024. This route aims to address the West Med to Algeria markets and offers transit times of four days between Western Turkey and Salerno. It features a fleet with four vessels and a capacity of 1,700 teu.
The port rotation will run on a weekly frequency and will include the following ports: Gemlik – Izmit – Ambarli – Aliaga – Malta – Salerno – Genoa – Marseille – Skikda. (cd)
