Planzer: another acquisition in Italy
With the takeover of Sifte Berti, the Swiss family-owned company Planzer is continuing its growth strategy in Italy. The well-established logistics company was founded in 1969 and is being transferred to Planzer with all its 300 employees and 40 vehicles as well as three of its seven locations (Milan, Vercelli and Rome), which are owned by Planzer.
Planzer has been present in Italy since the foundation of Planzer Trasporti and the first location in Montano Lucino (Como) in 1989 and has subsequently increased its footprint through acquisitions: Como Docks (2001), Aletti (2007), Lario Express Spedizioni Internazionali (2014) and Tirsped in Montano Lucino (2022).
CEO Nils Planzer: “We are honoured to continue the Berti family's legacy under the same name and with the same employees. This takeover gives us the opportunity to expand our services in Italy.” (ah)
