Pan-European procurement for Vodafone

26,000 sqm of warehousing space in Luxembourg are part of Vodafone Group’s latest project to create a pan-European hub for its mobile and fixed network equipment. Located in Bettembourg Logistic Park, the site is being developed by MG Real Estate to fit the storage of antennas, routers, and other equipment which Vodafone can then distribute within its European network.

According to the group’s estimates, 88% of its in-market warehouses can be reached from the new site within 24 hours. The hub will be managed by Vodafone's procurement company. The group is also aiming for an outstanding Breeam certificate by using sustainable building materials and technologies.

Once building commences early next year, the site is set to become operational in 2026. Pictured above are the group’s CFO, Luka Mucic, alongside Luxembourg’s economic minister, Lex Delles, as they sign the agreement for the hub. (mk)
