Nippon gains GDP certification in Philly
Nippon Express’ pharma logistics business in Philadelphia has been awarded a GDP certificate effective 13 November, rewarding the company’s efforts to maintain a safe and reliable storage solution for medical goods.
Philadelphia and the wider state of Pennsylvania are home to several pharmaceutical companies and R&D infrastructure, increasing demands for life science logistics in the region.
Nippon’s local branch is equipped with temperature and quality control regimes, including capacities for both refrigerated (2° to 8°C) and ambient (15° to 25°C) storage.
Access control and CCTV complete the security aspect of the site. Now that it has been certified for good distribution practice, the hub can interlink with Nippon’s GDP network of 36 locations worldwide, enhancing its reach in the pharmaceutical industry. (mk)
