Next-gen eco vessels for Arkas Line
Arkas is investing USD 240 million to add four next-generation eco-designed container vessels to its fleet, which will raise its total vessel count to 53 and teu capacity to over 100,000.
The new vessels, each with a capacity of 4,300 teu, will be built by Guangzhou Wenchong Shipyard in China and are scheduled for delivery in February, April, June, and August 2028. They will reduce Arkas' carbon emissions through their fuel performance measurement system and increase the carrier’s capacity.
With the new ships, Arkas Line will also expand its network and introduce a new service to the East Coast of America. (pb)
