Lubbers joins the pipeline
Chicago-based AIT Worldwide Logistics, a global supply chain solutions provider, has completed its acquisition of Lubbers Logistics Group, a European logistics company founded in the Netherlands 95 years ago. Lubbers specialises in high-value, complex and time-sensitive transport services.
AIT describes the deal, which was first announced in November last year, as a "significant milestone" as the company continues to expand its global reach and enhance its offerings in road transport, freight forwarding, and project cargo logistics, particularly in the energy sector.
With over 350 employees in nine road transport hubs and nine freight locations, Lubbers has a network of strategically located facilities in Europe. AIT adds these 19 sites to its global network of over 130 locations and expands its footprint to Denmark, Romania, and Turkey. (ah)
