Leteci Balkanac starts test run in the Balkans
European Loc Pool (ELP) is collaborating with Stadler Rail and third-party partners to secure the homologation of Euro Dual Locomotives in Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, and Montenegro and thus extend the deployment of these units to these countries.
The partners will conduct test runs and validate the locomotive's compatibility with local infrastructure in June and July 2023. The locomotive will bear the name "Leteći Balkanac".
When the test drives have been successfully completed, the relevant documentation will be submitted to the ERA for review. The homologation approval in all listed countries is expected before Christmas 2023. (ben)
