KF Aerospace takes delivery of bulk freighters
ACIA Aero Leasing has delivered an ATR 72-500 bulk freighter to Canada’s KF Aerospace. The aircraft is set to enter service in April 2025 under KF’s renewed contract with Purolator for air cargo transport in British Columbia.
“We’re excited to welcome KF Aerospace as a new partner,” said ACIA CEO Michael Mooney. “The ATR platform shows strong potential in Canada’s cargo sector, and this sale confirms growing demand for the type.”
The move marks ACIA’s second ATR freighter delivery to a Canadian operator in six months. KF Aerospace, a major player in aircraft maintenance, engineering, air cargo and military training, recently secured a ten-year renewal for the BC feeder network, and chose the ATR 72-500F to replace its Convair 580s.
