IRU elects new leadership
The general assembly of IRU, the world road transport organisation, has unanimously re-elected Radu Dinescu as president along with new vice presidents and a new presidential executive. The 2025-2027 term will mark two significant firsts for women in commercial road haulage.
For the first time, the IRU passenger transport council will have a woman president, Anna Grönlund (deputy managing director, SBF, Sweden), and the presidential executive will include four women.
The IRU also welcomed the following additional members to its presidential executive (governing board): Asli Çalik (executive advisor to board of directors, Tobb, Turkey), Vojtech Hromir (secretary general, Česmad Bohemia, Czechia), Andrey Kurushin (general director, Asmap, Russian Federation), Erik Østergaard (CEO, DTL, Denmark), Elisabeth Post (president, TLN, Netherlands), Wieslaw Starostka (director general, ZMPD, Poland) and Ramon Valdivia (executive VP, Astic, Spain).
