Improving hinterland networks in France
Haropa Port is expanding its hinterland connections. By 2025, the share of containers transported by rail is to be increased from 4% to 8%, thus extending the hinterland beyond Ile-de-France to the whole of France and beyond. The company has already drawn up specific plans to increase the frequency of shuttle services between the ports of Bruyères-sur-Oise and Gennevilliers.
New railway connections will be introduced via the expanded trimodal freight station in Bruyères-sur-Oise. DB Cargo France is planning to launch 15 new train services to transport aggregates for the production of concrete from Hauts-de-France to Bruyères-sur-Oise. (ben)
