Hutchison Ports BEST welcomes Premier Alliance
Hutchison Ports BEST welcomed the "ONE Frontier", the first Premier Alliance vessel, on 3 April. Operated by Ocean Network Express (ONE), the 15,258 teu ship is deployed on the MS2 Asia–Mediterranean service. The arrival marks a strengthening of commercial ties between BEST and the new alliance formed by ONE, Yang Ming, and HMM.
During the call, a metope was presented to Captain Theresh Colonne to commemorate the vessel's maiden call. Representatives from the Port Authority of Barcelona, ONE, and Hutchison Ports BEST attended the ceremony.
BEST, the first semi-automated terminal in the Hutchison Ports Group, is currently expanding its yard area, increasing storage capacity by 25%. The development will enhance service levels and strengthen the terminal’s role as a key gateway for cargo flows between Asia, the Mediterranean, and Europe. (ah)
