Hapag-Lloyd rolls out tracking API
The Track & Trace API is designed to improve shipment tracking for customers. The API, which became available in March 2024, provides detailed information on shipments, equipment, and transport events for bookings with Hapag-Lloyd since 25 January 2024.
It follows the DCSA Track & Trace v.2.2 API specification and allows tracking based on various references such as carrier booking reference, equipment reference, and transport document reference. The API offers real-time data and a simplified implementation process. Customers can access it through the Hapag-Lloyd API developer portal, which includes instructions for starting the programme.
