Going on with the Danes

The Port of Kalundborg, strategically located next to the deep-sea route in the Great Belt, and APM Terminals have signed a ten-years agreement to extend the concession of the Kalundborg container terminal. Mikael Gutman, managing director Nordic, APMT: "We see an opportunity to provide customers with an exceptional service and an efficient, greener, and competitive product in a strong location."

With access to one of the largest areas in Denmark, near Copenhagen, APMT Kalundborg will ramp up its presence by assuming responsibility for all the facility’s crane operations.

Kalundborg Port, where APMT received its first vessel call in March 2021, is undergoing rapid development and investments. The 50,000 sqm area located in Ny Vesthavn was designated by the port with a water depth of 15 m and fully paved with the required infrastructure for APM Terminals to start operations. (lh)
