Geodis gains pharma certificate


Geodis has gained a Iata certification for its pharmaceutical logistics in Australia, bringing the total number of its certified pharma sites to 29 globally.

 

Designed by Iata’s Centre of Excellence for Independent Validators (Ceiv) specifically for the pharmaceutical sector, the certification was awarded for the provider’s healthcare supply chains and capabilities in the region.

 

The site in Sydney offers storage at +2°C to +8°C and +15°C to +25° with additional air, sea and customs offerings. It joins Geodis’ network of hubs in China, Indonesia, India, UAE, and many other locations in the Asia-Pacific and Middle East regions. The logistics provider is also looking to get its New Zealand hub certified in the coming months.

 

The Ceiv Pharma certificate aims to maintain a safety and quality standards along the pharma supply chain. (mk)
