Gefco electrified in Italy

Citroën has contracted Gefco as its logistics partner for a fully electric vehicle in Italy. The Citroën AMI is a lightweight quad that can be driven by 14-year-olds with an AM license.

The agreement covers the transport, post-production operations and storage of the vehicle, as well as adequate door-to-door deliveries to its buyers. G

efco Italia will take over the Citroën AMIs at its Guastice plant close to Livorno, where specialised personnel carries out all the post-production operations and distribute them to numerous storage facilities, where they will be waiting for final distribution throughout Italy.

The post-production phase includes washing, fluid testing, set-up, accessory installation etc. The logistics partner will also be in charge of personalising the vehicles. Thanks to this alliance, Gefco will also make home deliveries. (sh)
