From Ukraine via Titusville into the Universe
In cooperation with Ceva Logistics, the Ukrainian heavylift specialist Antonov Airlines recently delivered a European critical satellite and additional equipment from Cologne-Bonn (Germany) to Titusville (USA).
The container with its 40 t cargo was loaded onto a AN-124-100M using the back ramp and on-board cranes, which avoided the use of additional ground equipment. At the same time the rest of the cargo was loaded into the plane via the front ramp. The aircraft’s technology enables it to complete the onloading and offloading in a time-effective frame.
Eugene Kiva, flight manager, Antonov Airlines: "We are proud to be a part of this project, that may be one of the significant steps of discovering the Universe and its secrets and getting life-saving knowledge for future generations." (ah)
