Freighter aircraft just won’t die

The JMC Group and the Complete Aircraft Group (CAG) are completing a teardown on a Boeing B737-400F, their second joint venture. Dismantling is taking place at Exeter airport (UK) and will be complete by the end of this month, resulting in the availability of 250 parts.

JMC has managed the teardowns of aircraft from eight to 35 years. Its teardown team reviews the market and maintains dialogue with lessors and airlines.

Alan Barnes, CAG's head of operations since summer 2021, pointed out that “there are a number of elderly B737s retiring from service, creating excellent opportunities for parts. CAG and JMC teams work together to manage an aircraft’s teardown and harvest parts safely in a turnkey solution.” (ah)
