Expanded services to drive trade opportunities
Jaxport is set to extend its global trade connections in 2025 through strategic alliances with major ocean carriers following the dissolution of the 2M Alliance. Key developments include the Gemini Cooperation’s new direct service to Cartagena, Colombia, improving access to global markets.
MSC and Zim Line will continue Asia services with expanded routes in Vietnam and China, while the Premier Alliance, comprising ONE, Yang Ming, and HMM, will strengthen links to Asia, Central America, and Canada.
Jaxport CEO Eric Green highlighted the port’s role as a critical trade gateway, with enhanced services expected to benefit industries such as automotive, retail, and manufacturing, boosting the regional economy and supporting long-term growth. (pb)
