Europa Worldwide Group invests in apprentices

The UK’s Europa Worldwide Group has celebrated its apprenticeship initiatives, showcasing their role in staff development. ‘National Apprenticeship Week’ (10-16 February) highlights the benefits of vocational training, enabling employees to improve their skill without career breaks.

To boost customer services, Europa has trained supervisors in its UK network through apprenticeships. Since 2022, the company has tripled its number of supervisors, now with 80 operators and 18 supervisors. The first cohort completed a twelve-month programme, with many passing their final assessment.

Beyond customer service, Europa supports LGV driver qualifications through a ‘Warehouse to Wheels’ programme and recently welcomed its first ‘Software Development Apprentice’, Leyla Asaf (pictured), who optimises in-house systems.

“Apprenticeships empower employees at every career stage,” said Alison Flannery, Europa’s learning and development manager. (ah)
