Duisburg and Rotterdam: a hydrogen partnership
The Ports of Duisburg (Duisport) and Rotterdam are strengthening their collaboration to secure hydrogen supply and demand. A joint feasibility study emphasises their role as key hubs in the hydrogen market.
The ports are planning a hydrogen corridor to meet rising demand for green hydrogen demand 2045. The partnership includes Dutch green fuels specialist OCI Global and aims to supply the Ruhr region with low-carbon hydrogen.
Infrastructure expansion, including hydrogen pipelines, is pivotal to meet future demands. Both ports are committed to supporting the hydrogen economy's growth and energy transition in Europe. (pb)
