Delhivery operates India’s first road train


A road train developed by manufacturer Volvo Trucks was flagged off by Nitin Gadkari, India’s minister of road transport and highways, recently.

 

The vehicle combination will enhance efficiency and capacity in Indian long-haul logistics. The Volvo FM 420 4X2 road train offers 50% higher cargo capacity. The launch of the unit follows trials on a 700 km Nagpur–Bhiwandi route in the Indian state of Maharashtra.
