Continental Tires Spain picks Edwin Goudswaard
Edwin Goudswaard became head of research and development at Continental Tires on 1 September 2023. He succeeds Boris Mergell, who took over as manager of the user experience unit at Continental Automotive on the same date.
Goudswaard started his career at Continental in 2006, shortly after finishing his studies in mechanical engineering. After an international internship programme in R&D, he worked in virtual and product development for original equipment tyres.
Later, from 2013 to 2021, Goudswaard took on various management positions in R&D and production facilities for two-wheel and passenger car tyres in Europe and Asia. He was appointed head of the two-wheel tyre business unit in 2021. (cj)
