CLdN invests in Killingholme
CLdN is making a multi-million-pound investment in its Killingholme terminal on the river Humber, scheduled for completion in late 2026. The project will enhance cargo handling and storage capacity for trailers, containers, tank containers and refrigerated units. Cargo operations will be reconfigured to optimise freight flow, while five new electric RTG cranes will replace part of the diesel-powered fleet, cutting emissions by up to 10%.
The investment supports growing volumes on CLdN’s routes between Killingholme, Rotterdam and Zeebrugge, and complements recent upgrades at its London and Liverpool terminals. "Killingholme is a key hub linking the North of England with Europe. This investment also reflects our commitment to greener operations," said Florent Maes, CEO of CLdN.
The Killingholme site covers 100 hectares and offers 12 weekly sailings to continental Europe. (ah)
