Chinese vehicles added to terminal fleet
Global Ports, a Russian terminal operator and affiliate of Delo-Group has added nine terminal tractors to the fleet of its terminals Petrolesport PLP) and First Container Terminal (FCT) in the port of St. Petersburg, Russia. The addition follows an increasing container throughput. In 2024, the holding's Baltic terminals handled 650,000 teu - 2.2 times more than in 2023, Global Ports said. The new vehicles are manufactured in China. They are equipped with 4x4 all-wheel drive and are used for in-port transport of containers. The tractors have high manoeuvrability, improved control system and are able to move a road train weighing up to 90 tonnes.
