C. H. Robinson tackling the times

C. H. Robinson has published its figures for Q3/2020 and the months from January till September 2020 - and they are on the positive side. In Q3/2020, the 3PL's revenues increased by 9.6% to USD 4.2 billion compared to the same period in 2019, due to higher prices in some fields and higher volumes alike.

Yet, net revenues decreased by 7% to USD 589.3 million. The reasons were rising costs and lower margins in truckload services.

Operating expenses decreased by 2.6% to USD 421 million. The revenues in Q3/2020 for the global forwarding segment increased by 39.2% to USD 832 million. The main driver was higher pricing in ocean and air transports due to reduced air cargo capacity, an increased number of charterings and higher volumes.

For the first nine months in 2020, C. H. Robinson's revenues were at USD 1,36 billion, a rise of 5,5% compared to the USD 1,29 billion in the same period of 2019. (sh)
